Elaine has been teaching violin, viola, and piano for over ten years overseas and in Sydney. After completing her Bachelor of Music, she also has a master's degree in creative music therapy from WSU. Given her educational background, I served as a music teacher in senior high school and private music educational institutions. She has experience in teaching AMEB exam or for students who generally want to learn music as a hobby. Currently, she's traveling to students' places for teaching and would choose textbooks based on students' individual goals and interests.

I teach the Viola. I have been playing for 68 years. My studies started in London, then in Sydney my teachers was Margaret Berriman of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Robert Ingram at the Sydney Conservatorium, he passed away then I went to the legendary Jascha Gopinko, who taught me the solid Russian school of playing. I have performed in Orchestras, Theatre pits, chamber music and film music. I supply the music so I can monitor the students progress. I charge $60 per hour.

I do all things music – performing, teaching, composing, laid-back jamming… I have been playing violin for 27 years and teaching since 2007. I play with the WA Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra and a number of other ensembles around Perth and Australia. I love teaching students who want to learn and who also have a passion for music. I teach all levels, from beginner to university level. I don’t just teach Classical music – many of my high school students also enjoy learning folk music, Disney and K-pop arrangements. I draw from a range of teaching methods to find an approach that will suit each individual student best. Everyone has a different learning style and enjoys playing different music. I endeavour to make lessons a creative adventure, during which you learn the secrets of music and unlock your skills.

Hi! I'm Laura! I teach according to my students' needs. I approach each student individually and help them learn what they are interested in, whether this be classical, jazz, contemporary, or pop music. I teach exam repertoire, music theory, sight reading and aural skills, hence, creating an all-rounded musician and giving context to the pieces and songs they learn. I have a Bachelor's from The University of Queensland, and I am in the process of completing my Master's there as well. I have done my AMusA in Piano and plan on continuing to better myself as a musician in all of my instruments. I have a passion for music and wish to share this enthusiasm and love for music with my students. Music is the one thing in this world that uses both sides of the brain whilst incorporating your heart and soul as you learn and perform pieces.
