Elaine has been teaching violin, viola, and piano for over ten years overseas and in Sydney. After completing her Bachelor of Music, she also has a master's degree in creative music therapy from WSU. Given her educational background, I served as a music teacher in senior high school and private music educational institutions. She has experience in teaching AMEB exam or for students who generally want to learn music as a hobby. Currently, she's traveling to students' places for teaching and would choose textbooks based on students' individual goals and interests.

At Keys of Joy, we believe learning piano should be as joyful as it is rewarding. We are a warm, welcoming and student-led piano school in North Sydney, offering personalised lessons for children and adults of all experience levels. Our approach combines strong musical foundations with creativity, encouraging students to explore music in their own way, discover their interests and develop at their own pace. Beyond learning to read music and develop piano technique, students are encouraged to improvise, compose, play by ear and take ownership of their musical journey. We believe every student has the potential to become a confident, independent musician when they feel supported, inspired and empowered to learn.

About you I teach beginner and intermediate piano to children and adults from my studio in Mascot. Lessons are relaxed and built around the music you actually want to play, with AMEB exams available if you prefer.

I am a piano teacher with 30 years of teaching experience in all levels of piano and theory in Classical (AMEB), Classical (ABRSM), Modern, Popular and Latin styles. My name is Julia Wan, and I am an experienced piano and music theory teacher based in Sydney. I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners through to AMEB Grade 8, as well as students preparing for HSC Music. My recent students include both HSC and Grade 8 AMEB candidates. I have a lifetime of experience in music and teaching. I trained in London, UK, where I graduated from Trinity College of Music, and I now enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of music with students here in Sydney. Whether you are learning piano for enjoyment, working towards AMEB examinations, preparing for the HSC, or would like help with music theory, I tailor my lessons to suit each student's individual level and goals.
