I’m Kimberley, a qualified secondary Music Teacher with a Bachelor of Secondary Education from Edith Cowan University (ECU), majoring in Music Education with a minor in Instrumental Music. I have been teaching private piano, singing and music theory lessons for over 9 years, alongside my work as a secondary school music teacher. My approach to piano lessons is centred around enjoyment, confidence and developing a genuine love of music. I believe learning an instrument should be fun, so while students build important skills such as reading music, rhythm, technique and theory, I also encourage them to explore songs and musical styles they genuinely enjoy. Lessons are supportive and tailored to each student’s individual ability, interests and pace. Whether a student is completely new to piano or has been playing for several years, my goal is to help them become confident, independent musicians while enjoying the process.

I do all things music – performing, teaching, composing, laid-back jamming… I have been playing violin for 27 years and teaching since 2007. I play with the WA Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra and a number of other ensembles around Perth and Australia. I love teaching students who want to learn and who also have a passion for music. I teach all levels, from beginner to university level. I don’t just teach Classical music – many of my high school students also enjoy learning folk music, Disney and K-pop arrangements. I draw from a range of teaching methods to find an approach that will suit each individual student best. Everyone has a different learning style and enjoys playing different music. I endeavour to make lessons a creative adventure, during which you learn the secrets of music and unlock your skills.
