I’m a violin pedagogue specialising in intonation, technical reconstruction and helping players understand why progress can stall despite regular lessons and practice. I teach online from the Gold Coast, working with teenagers, adults, returning players, serious beginners and advanced students across Queensland and internationally. My teaching focuses on the relationship between sound and physical organisation, close visual observation and structured independent practice between lessons.

I do all things music – performing, teaching, composing, laid-back jamming… I have been playing violin for 27 years and teaching since 2007. I play with the WA Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra and a number of other ensembles around Perth and Australia. I love teaching students who want to learn and who also have a passion for music. I teach all levels, from beginner to university level. I don’t just teach Classical music – many of my high school students also enjoy learning folk music, Disney and K-pop arrangements. I draw from a range of teaching methods to find an approach that will suit each individual student best. Everyone has a different learning style and enjoys playing different music. I endeavour to make lessons a creative adventure, during which you learn the secrets of music and unlock your skills.
