At Monique’s Music, my mission is to connect with adult learners who have always dreamed of playing music and help them finally begin that journey. Monique’s Music was created to support those learners by offering online flute, saxophone, and clarinet lessons designed specifically for adults. I love teaching mature-aged students because they bring genuine curiosity and commitment to each lesson. Every student arrives with different goals — some prefer structured learning, while others enjoy a more relaxed, exploratory approach. Some want to focus on technique or music theory, while others simply want the skills to play music they enjoy. Understanding what motivates each student and tailoring lessons to suit their learning style is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities in both classroom and online settings. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning, and a Graduate Certificate in Education. Although I’m based in Brisbane, the flexibility of online lessons means I teach students from across the globe. My students currently join lessons from Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Europe.
